Laura Mühlbach (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Guroo Habits mobile application (hereinafter referred to as “Service”).

Our Privacy Policy governs your visit to Guroo Habits mobile application, and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service.

We use your data to provide and improve our Service. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

Our Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all use of our Service and together with the Privacy Policy constitutes your agreement with us (“agreement”).

Definitions

SERVICE means the Guroo Habits mobile application operated by Laura Mühlbach.

USAGE DATA is data collected automatically either generated by the use of Service or from Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

Personal Data

The Application can be used without creating an account, in which case no personal data is required. However, to access premium features, users are required to log in using an email address or through third-party authentication services such as Google or Apple sign-in. This personal information is collected solely to facilitate the login process and to enable access to premium features. We may have access to personal information (email address and name) associated to your Login Provider. We retain this information in accordance with our Data Retention Policy, and it is used strictly as described in this Privacy Policy.

Usage Data

We may also collect information that your mobile device sends whenever you visit our Service (“Usage Data”). This entails:

  • Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address).
  • Details of your interactions with the Application such as pages visited, and the duration of visits.
  • The type of operating system used on your mobile device.

The user may opt-out of this data collection in the Mobile App settings.

The Application does not collect location information from your device.

The Service Provider may use the information provided by you to send occasional updates, important notifications, and promotional offers.

Use of Data

Laura Mühlbach uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • to provide and maintain our Service
  • to notify you about changes to our Service
  • to allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so;
  • to provide customer support
  • to gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service;
  • to monitor the usage of our Service;
  • to detect, prevent and address technical issues;
  • to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it;
  • to provide you with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information;
  • in any other way we may describe when you provide the information;

Retention of Data

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

If you are located outside Belgium & the Netherlands and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Belgium & the Netherlands and process it there.

Laura Mühlbach will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide:

    Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Your Data Protection Rights under the California Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law's reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivable the world) that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals with whom it is being shared, and to comply with this policy.

Our Policy on “Do Not Track” Signals:

We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.   • Uninstalling: You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application using the standard uninstallation processes available on your mobile device or network.
